ASIS International Chapter 254 of the Palm Beaches, Florida was organized in 2006, and is one several hundred Chapters worldwide. Our Chapter represents over 200 Members from Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie, Indian River, and Glades Counties. We are Law Enforcement professionals (Local, State, and Federal) and Security professionals; including corporate, hospitality, and education professionals, investigative services, and industry product representatives.

Law enforcement can be rewarding and challenging as well as frustrating and dangerous. Last year alone we lost 165 officers in Florida. Police Officers risk their lives to serve and protect us. It is a calling relatively few accept. We owe a debt to those who willingly serve and protect us. Providing appropriate recognition to deserving officers is very important. ASIS International and Corporate Sponsors around the world will be honoring the “Best of the Best” among Law Enforcement Officers during the months of May and June 2012.

To provide such recognition, the local ASIS International chapter with the help of our local Corporations will sponsor the 5th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon. A Law Enforcement-Private Security Partnership

Nomination categories include Chief, Sheriff, and Commander of the year, Police Officer of the Year, Community Policing, Criminal Investigation, 911 Dispatcher of the year, Extraordinary Valor, and Life Saving etc. Nominees may come from virtually any area of law enforcement, from Sheriff's departments to the Coast Guard. Time frame for eligibility is, April 9, 2011 thru April 1, 2012.

Mark your calendars for this outstanding event which recognizes the “BEST OF THE BEST” among area law enforcement. We expect to draw 400+ attendees from area Police and Sheriff's departments in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties. Security Directors and business leaders from Corporate America will be in attendance to celebrate the achievements of Law Enforcement Officers.

We are proud to announce that anchorperson Shannon Cake from WPTV's Channel 5 will emcee the ceremony and will feature an Honor Guard, bagpipers, and remembrance of the Fallen Officers from the State of Florida.

This year's Annual Appreciation Luncheon is our way of honoring the men and women who put their lives on the line for us daily! This luncheon is free of charge to all Law Enforcement personnel attending.
